Lewisville and Coppell are two neighboring cities located in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex.
Lewisville: Originally known as Holford’s Prairie, Lewisville’s history dates back to the 1840s. The arrival of the town’s first railroad in 1881 spurred growth, and by the 1950s, the construction of the Lewisville Lake transformed the city into a recreational hub of the DFW metroplex.
Coppell: Initially known as Gibbs Station, Coppell was renamed in 1890 in honor of George Coppell, who was instrumental in bringing the railroad to the community. The city has seen significant growth since the 1980s, thanks to its proximity to the DFW International Airport.
Both cities are situated in the northern part of Dallas County, with Lewisville extending into Denton County. They are strategically located with easy access to major highways and the DFW International Airport, making them attractive for both residents and businesses.
