Declutter and Keep Only What You Need

Toss things that don’t fit you anymore and those that you haven’t worn for say 12 months already. If they have sentimental value or if you have diet plans, store them away elsewhere. Maximize Your Existing Closet Space
Standard closets normally go by having one rod on one side and maybe shelves on the other. You can still upgrade this by using the space as efficiently as you can. On the other side, you can install floor to ceiling shelving. This way, you can increase the storage in your available closet.

Instead of bringing in a bulky wardrobe to add closet space to your apartment, why not try storing your things underfoot? The space under sofas, your bed, and tables are great spaces to store seasonal items, extra bags and clothes with no place, and the like. If you have the budget, you can even get yourself furniture that doubles as storage areas.
Flaunt Your Wardrobe
A creative way to create more closet space is to simply display your wardrobe out in the open. One way you could do this is through clothing racks. They’re very easy to install. And they’d force you to keep your things organized. You can also install rods on bare walls in your bedroom. As for your shoes, you can store them vertically behind your door. This space can also be storage for extra bags, scarves, belts, and hats. This concept not only extends your closet space to your entire room. But, it also doubles as decor to the room.
Don’t Count Out Corners
Corners are often overlooked. But, they provide very good additions to your storage space. Instead of stuffing it with a chair or small table you never use, hang up a rod in it. Then, use it to hang your dresses, coats, or jackets. This way, you’ll be able to maximize every corner of your apartment and even give your room an interesting decorative element to boot.
Use Decorative Screens or Curtains
Curtains and decorative screens are great for dividing rooms. But, they’re also great for hiding away your stuff. You can use these two to cordon off a few feet in your room to create a pseudo-closet. It’s also an easy way to keep your things from simply overflowing all over the place.
