1. Macrame is Back

Macrame has officially left behind the peace and love days of the 70s and has landed as a favorite decor trend in recent years. And it has been particularly popular in the summer and fall seasons. It’s delicate patterns and homely look can make any space immediately feel a lot cozier. Plus, it perfectly goes with all fall and summer colors. Aside from the plant hangers we all commonly see them in, you can use macrame in plenty more ways such as wall hangings, table runners, and woven chairs. And not only is it gorgeous, but it’s also quite easy to DIY. As long as you know how to make a few simple knots, you’re good to go.

2. Green is Everywhere

We’ll always love the traditional autumn colors but it seems that this year, green is taking over. It doesn’t necessarily mean you’ll have to say goodbye to your beloved pumpkins and leaves. It just means you might want to try other colors for them like neutrals and greens. You might also want to try incorporating ivy, eucalyptus, or boxwood into your decor. Believe it or not, they’re just as stunning and they carry the general atmosphere and coziness of the season just as well as our favorite warm colors.

3. Mud Clothes Are Getting Love

Indigo-dyed, shibbouri, and neutral-dyed mud clothes are huge on Pinterest right now with a 550% interest increase from last year. And it’s easy to see why. This African-influence decor trend is a perfect addition to any fall decor. And from rugs to throw pillows and blankets, there are simply so many ways to add a little bit of this to your home.

4. Hanging Decor

Your walls also deserve some love for fall and what better way to do that than with a few simple but elegant pieces of hanging decor. This year on Pinterest, it’s all about nature. Aside from your usual fall leaves, there’s a lot of branches, green leaves, and beautiful hanging plants.

5. Lovely Blush Tones

Blush tones are usually associated with spring but they’re just as lovely and inviting in the fall season. Pair them with a little bit of copper or chambray and you have an elegant and cozy setup. Take it up a notch by pairing it up with rich and dark colors and you’ll have a room that just screams “relax” in the most beautiful way.

6. Lanterns for Warmth

Our cozy fireplaces will always have a place in our hearts but this year, lanterns are in for providing that extra warmth and ambiance to your home. Pinterest users are more drawn towards the simple and subtle with glass pillar lanterns. You can have these in room corners or on your dining table to make your home feel a lot cozier. If you want that little extra dramatic flair, you can also line a walkway with these.

7. Plush Velvet

Along with blush tones and the greens, velvet adds in as the perfect complement. It’s warm, luxurious, and adds that little bit of elegance and gorgeousness to any decor style. And don’t think it’s just for your living room. Adding a hint of velvet to your bedroom with throw pillows or a headboard can make it a different kind of stunning. The best part about it is that velvet is very easy to clean making it a great choice for pet owners.
